It’s good to keep track of which species in a given lake or river yield the best prices per pound because it helps determine which fish to keep and which to release-this is especially true early on when you will likely have a limited-capacity keepnet. The price of a fish is set by species, rank (common, trophy, unique), and weight.You’ll also see the current chart if you choose to advance time. You can see the bite charts on the main screen for your current lake or river. The bite charts look different based on the weather. Time of day makes a huge difference when it comes to catching fish.If you can extend a trip over four or five days and ensure that you’re getting as much done at a given location as possible (in terms of missions and achievements) you’ll save yourself a lot of money. You will be prompted to extend your stay for another day, but that will be a fraction of the travel cost needed to leave the lake and return. If your keepnet is full and you want to empty it, simply advance time to the next day. You don’t need to leave the lake/river to empty your keepnet.

You get money for all the fish in your keepnet when you empty it, but you get experience for every fish you catch regardless of whether you keep them.
